A HUSBAND charged with murdering his wife by stabbing her to death has appeared before magistrates.
Unemployed My My Nguyen, aged 57, appeared in custody at Woolwich Magistrates' Court on October 21.
He is charged with murdering his 54-year-old wife and mother-of-four Hoa Thi Dang at their home in Willow Lane on October 19.
The case has now been sent to the Old Bailey, where a plea and direction hearing is due soon.
Police found Mrs Dang with stab wounds when they called at the address at 7am on October 19.
She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Stadium Road, Woolwich, but died from her injuries at 8.10am.
A post-mortem examination at Greenwich Mortuary revealed the cause of death was two stab wounds.
A cousin of Mrs Dang, who does not want to be named, said: "I'm so shocked and upset. She was a devoted mother to her four children. This is just so tragic."
