HARINGEY: Good Samaritan appeal after fatal stabbing

Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Highgate last week are appealing for a 'good Samaritan' who assisted one of the victims to come forward.

Police were called shortly after 11.30pm last Thursday to Shepherds Hill near the junction with Archway Road after reports that a group of men were fighting.

A 28-year-old man died at the scene.

A second man, in his 20s, was also stabbed in the incident. He was driven by a friend from the scene and sought assistance from a passer-by who got in to the car and directed the driver to The Whittington Hospital before leaving.

Police are keen to trace the man, as he could be a potential witness in the case.

The second victim was treated and later discharged.

Two men have since been charged in connection with the inquiry and four others have been bailed to return at a later date.

The man who helped the second victim is asked to call the incident room at Hendon on 020 8358 0200.
