BARNET: Police arrest man after double stabbing
A man has been arrested in connection with a double knife attack in Golders Green.
The 37-year-old was traced following two stabbings just meters from each other in roads off Golders Green Road in Friday.
A 47-year-old man was found in The Drive around 6pm suffering stab wounds to his arm and chest.
It is thought the victim was getting into his car when he was approached by the suspect who stabbed him, before driving away in the victim's silver Volvo estate.
Whilst police were attending that incident, they were alerted to a 43-year-old man who had been stabbed in Beverley Gardens.
A police spokesman said: "This incident is believed to have taken place just prior to the stabbing in The Drive, and it is believed that both incidents were committed by the same suspect."
Both victims were taken to hospital and the spokesman added they were both now in a stable condition.
The silver Volvo was later found abandoned in Cricklewood.
The 37-year-old man was arrested around 5pm yesterday and he remains in custody at a west London police station.
Officers are continuing in to investigate the assaults and anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
