HARROW: Cops appeal over Wembley murder HARROW: Cops appeal over Wembley murder

A photo has been released of a man police want to speak to in connection with a murder investigation in Wembley.

Officers probing the death of 48-year-old Dilip Unadkat who was found stabbed in his home in Alexandra Court, Empire Way, want to speak to Ahmed Mahmoud El-Shubrawy.

Mr El-Shubrawy, 26, is an Egyptian national who is known to go to west London and Birmingham, he is 5ft 6inches tall, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Police describe him as having a tanned completion and say he speaks with a Middle Eastern accent.

Detective Inspector Lee Presland, who is leading the murder investigation, said: "We are now extending our appeal for information regarding El-Shubrawy's whereabouts to the north African and Middle Eastern communities in west London.

"Mr El-Shubrawy would often socialise in cafes along the Edgware Road. He may be using an alias of Ahmed Mahmoud Abu-Hajaj, and may describe himself as Iraqi."

Investigations continue into the death of Mr Unadkat, who died from stab wounds to the stomach on November 27.

He was last seen two days earlier at Athena Mini Market in Empire Way, and officers are renewing their appeal for information by handing out posters and leaflets in Edgware Road all this week.

Anyone with information can contact police on 0208 358 0200, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
