A PERVERT with a fetish for taking photos of girls' feet has been banned from carrying a camera.

Martin Spiers shocked 14-year-old girls in Cassiobury Park, Watford, last October when he approached them and asked to take pictures of their feet.

St Albans Crown Court heard on Friday they ran away and found a patrolling police officer to help them.

Charles Ingram, prosecuting, said the police officer found Spiers in the park. He had hidden a digital camera in a bush near where he was standing which was found to have photos of feet on it.

He told the officer: "Sorry, I'm out of my head and trying to sort it out."

Spiers, 38, of Courtlands Drive, Watford, pleaded guilty to being a public nuisance and being in breach of a community order and sexual offenders order.

Mr Ingram said Spiers, also known as Rodrigues, has "a fetish for people's feet, in particular young females".

The community order and sexual offenders order where given after a similar incident in Watford High Street in June 2005.

Daire Brehan, defending, said Spiers' photo-taking was triggered by alcohol and he was seeking to address both problems. She said he is a minimal risk to the public.

Having spent 102 days in custody awaiting sentencing, John Plumstead released Spiers but said to him: "What you do causes little physical harm but it frightens the wits out of people - both the women you approach and the parents who worry about a perverse interest being taken in their children.

"Your fetish is not acceptable when it involves underage people."

Judge Plumstead ordered Spiers to comply with his original sexual offenders order which he said would now last for three years.

He also banned him from taking a camera or camera phone out with him or taking pictures in public for the next six months.

I find nothing wrong with what this fine young mab did. I love womens feet too, and I would and will do the very same thing he did. Having a foot fetish is NO CRIME, nor taking pics of them pretty girls feet a crime. Foot freaks Unite!!

A foot fetish is one thing...these were underage girls. That's wrong. Do you know the difference between right and wrong?

Let me try and explain, because you obviously aren't smart enough to grasp this:

People with foot fetishes derive sexual pleasure from feet, the same as other people would derive sexual pleasure from breasts, or nudity, or anything like that. Pleasuring yourself to a picture of a 14 year old girl's feet - to a person with a foot fetish - is the equivalent of someone without a foot fetish pleasuring themselves to a nude picture of an underage girl. A 14 year old is a child. How would you feel if you walked in on your friend pleasuring himself to your 14 year old sister's feet?

No, wait. I've seen this one: You're right, I'm wrong. Right?

You're gross, man. Really.

Do you have a foot fetish or phobia?

Does the sight of bare feet with beautifully painted toe nails send your libido rocketing? Or do you want to run away and physically vomit?

Perhaps you’re tired of suffering in silence and being labelled as a ‘freak’ or a ‘weirdo’.

As Producers of a television documentary on the subject, we would like to hear from people with foot fetishes and foot phobias. We want to document your road to a cure in this, sensitive and informative documentary; which will include professional psychologists and psychiatrists.

To tell your story please telephone Katy Kendrick on: 0207 438 1857 or e-mail: katy.kendrick@twofour.co.uk .

Good luck!!

I have a foot fetish and this is very true, what this man did was wrong, its wrong to take a persons picture without them knowing. My fetish is strictly left to the bedroom as with anything sexual. foot fetishists are just normal people not like the loser who did this, he was just a pervert who happened to have one

I have a foot fetish, but I would never dream of taking photos of an underage girl's feet. Foot fetishists aren't saddos, we just have a passion for a different part of the female (or male, if that's your preference) anatomy. Why the fuss? Are breasts and backsides much more acceptable to "normal" types? I never see cottagers or S-M devotees ridiculed for their predilections (I guess
they're seen as ok as edgy is cool). I've loved female feet since childhood and as I approach middle age, the pull remains as strong as ever. Accept it - DON'T KNOCK IT!

When will we learn that sexual attraction comes many different forms, and that trying to dictate whom or what a person is attracted to is absurd? As a teen, is it logical that if you are attracted to other teens, once you become legally an adult that at that minute of the day all of a sudden you are no longer attracted to teens? No, it's not. What is important is what you do with that attraction. Making others feel uncomfortable because of your attraction is wrong, not having the attraction itself.
Having had a foot fetish since I was in kindergarten, I thought myself "sick and abnormal" growing up, but I have since gotten a clue! It's who I am and there is nothing sick, perverted or abnormal about it. It's who I am and my preference. So those of you who think we need "curing" , perhaps YOU need some therapy yourselves dealing with why you can't accept ANOTHER PERSON'S tastes and preferences.

I like to thank those whose comments supported my actions, but it was the prosecution who said I had a foot fetish, not me, and as usual the prosecution got it wrong. I like feet, but no more than other parts of a female body, I don't have a fetish, I was just drunk, but you try telling that to the Police who want a conviction, no point in agrueing because they are 'always right', it's so annoying, but I will prove my innocence one day and anyone who has lied about me WILL pay the price (in compensation terms),I just waiting for the right moment.
