TWO men who were jailed for defrauding the Millennium Dome's parent company have been stripped of more than £768,000.
Former Dome head of lighting Simon Brophy has been ordered to pay a confiscation order of £750,000, for his part in defrauding the New Millennium Experience Company (NMEC).
And another former Dome contractor David Gordon was also ordered to pay a further £18,400, at Southwark Crown Court, on February 7.
Brophy, from Ormskirk, Lancashire, was jailed for four-and-a-half years in September last year after admitting four counts of corruption.
Southwark Crown Court heard how he had used £3.9m from the Dome contract to fund a lavish lifestyle.
The 39-year-old used the cash to buy a luxury house in Florida, a helicopter and a Porsche car.
Isle of Wight resident Gordon, aged 44, has since completed a nine-month jail term after he admitted conspiracy to defraud the NMEC.
Brophy must pay the money within 18 months and Gordon within 12 months.
Both face a further jail term if they do not pay up in time.
