Two people were burned during an acid attack aboard a London Overground train at South Tottenham station.
A passenger and a rail worker had acid thrown in their faces during the incident at about 8pm last night.
Members of the public desperately tried to help the pair by pouring water on their burns before London Ambulance Service’s hazardous area response team arrived.
Researcher Rosie Busiakiewicz, whose sister was aboard the train, tweeted about the incident saying: “Guy & girl had acid chucked on their face on @LDNOverground at South Tottenham - whole carriage (including my sis) pouring water over them!"
British Transport Police are looking for one suspect in relation to the attack.
