Bromley hit-and-run update: Cyclist victim is Bromley College lecturer

THE CYCLIST victim of a hit-and-run last Monday is a lecturer at Bromley College.

Staff at the further and higher college in Rookery Lane, Bromley, spoke about how their thoughts are with their colleague who still in hospital.

Director of human resources and development Mandy Piper-Killick said: “We were very sad to hear that a member of staff was involved in an accident but believe he is responding well to treatment.

“All his students and staff at the College send their best wishes for a full recovery.”

The man, in his 60s, was hit by a car in Chislehurst Road, around 50 yards from the junction of Pines Road, at around 9.20pm on October 15.

Enquiries are ongoing to find the car driver who did not stop at the scene.

The victim was left in a critical condition and was taken to King's College Hospital, in Denmark Hill.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call the police on 101.
