A POST-MORTEM examination has determined a 20-year-old man who was killed at a party in Mottingham yesterday (October 20) died of a stab wound.

The victim was treated for his injuries at the scene at a flat in Kingsley Wood Drive after emergency services were called just after 3pm.

But he could not be saved and he was pronounced dead at 3.51pm.

His next of kin have been informed but he has not yet been formally identified.

A 24-year-old man, who was also stabbed at the party, was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Neither victim has been named but it is believed the party happened at the flat of a woman who has been named locally as mother-of-two Josie Hall.

Officers have been at the block of flats all day as part of the murder investigation which is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Cliff Lyons of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command.

Anybody with information that could help the investigation is asked to call the incident room on 020 8721 4961.

Detectives are keen to trace a black Volkswagen Golf, registration LV07 FXA, which they believe may be linked to the incident.

Officers suspect it remains somewhere in south-east London.

A man in his 20s was arrested yesterday evening on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a south London police station.
