A 27-YEAR-OLD man has been convicted of murdering Matthew Clement at his front gate in Brockley.

Mr Clement, 23, was shot at three times outside a friend's house where he was staying in Whitbread Road at around 1.30am on May 30, 2010.

He managed to run around the corner before collapsing and dying in Howson Road.

His body was eventually found by a woman walking home with her 13-year-old daughter.

Following an Old Bailey trial, Taurean Davis from Nunhead was found guilty of the murder today (Oct 18).

But the jury failed to reach a verdict on Perry Walters, aged 25, of Exchange Apartments in Bromley, who also denied murder. He is now expected to face a retrial on December 3.

Davis will be sentenced following the retrial.

Matthew Taylor, aged 24, from New Addington, was cleared of the killing.
