The name’s park, Sandown Park.
For this year’s Blue Square Gentleman’s Day, the racecourse will be themed around the launch of the latest James Bond film, Skyfall.
What better way to celebrate the launch of the jumps season than by celebrating one of Britain’s most iconic heroes, James Bond?
Race-goers who come dressed in black tie will be offered a £5 discount and there will be a Bond Bar on course where martinis will be served shaken, not stirred.
James Bond characters may also be spotted walking around the course, including a Daniel Craig lookalike with his old enemy Oddjob.
For those gentlemen out there with a flair for fashion, dress to impress to catch the eyes of the judges of the best dressed male competition.
And a gents day out would not be complete without a bit of a flutter on the horses and, to make the day even more 007, a fun casino and poker table will be on offer.
The day will be rounded off with live music from Shaken not Stirred, who will perform some of the Bond movies’ greatest hits.
The annual Blue Square Gentleman’s Day takes place on Saturday, November 10. To book tickets call Sandown Park on 01372 470047, or visit sandown.co.uk.
Tickets cost £15 for grandstand admission and £20 for premier admission, when booked in advance and children under 18 go free.
