Esher's Odeon offers opera

Culture-buffs can soon watch live opera performances from the Met on Esher’s Odeon screens.
As part of the Odeon Plus cultural offering, the cinema will be screening shows from New York’s Metropolitan Opera from October 13.
Drew Kaza, EVP for digital development at Odeon and UCI cinemas, said: "We are delighted to offer guests the opportunity to see such iconic operas from the comfort of their local Odeon."
The first performance will showcase the talent of soprano Anna Netrebko in the starring role of L’Elisir d’Amore, directed by Tony Award-winning Bartlett Sher.
The programme will feature the premiere of British composer Thomas Ades’ arrangement of The Tempest on November 10, and will run until April 27.
