Newlyweds are enjoying a two week island honeymoon having celebrated their wedding day in front of friends and family.

Dominic Hellel and Joanne Walton became mister and missus in front of about 100 people at a ceremony held at Pembroke lodge, Richmond Park on September 29.

The pair, who met at a restaurant in Wimbledon in 2010 and have lived together for more than a year, escaped the post summer blues by enjoying a sun-filled break in Mauritius.

Mr Hellel, who has helped to run the family electrical business in Upper Richmond Road, East Sheen, since he left school in 1997, popped the question at romantic spa retreat in Sunningdale, Berkshire last February.

On the wedding, the former Grey Court school pupils, said: “The day was fabulous. It is very rare that you get the chance to have all your friends and family in one room together to share something so special.

“I am so happy that Jo has agreed to marry me. She has made me the happiest man in the world.”
