Mobile police counter coming to Cobham
Police front counter services will be brought to new locations within the community as the mobile police office vehicle travels around the county.
The specially-fitted van is designed to be an alternative option to visiting one of Surrey Police’s 11 fixed front counters.
The new timetable comes into effect on Monday, October 15, and is as a result of monitoring the locations which have been in operation for more than a year.
Chief Superintendent Charlie Doyle said: “The new locations are expected to receive a larger footfall and to reach those who may not have previously have had access to the facility.
“The changes take into account the experience and knowledge of our safer neighbourhood officers who are constantly in touch with their local communities and have fed back directly from members of the public about how the initiative is used and meets their demands.”
The Mobile Police Office will visit Holly Hedge Road car park, Cobham, every Monday from 12.30pm to 2.30pm before visiting other locations in the borough.
The new timetable details and information about the services available from the mobile police counter can be found on the Surrey Police website at surrey.police.uk/contact-us/mobile-police-office.
