DARTFORD Grammar School's rugby players are hoping the feats of Olympian old boy Adam Gemili will inspire them to victory next week.
The U18 team face holders Dulwich College in the second round of the Daily Mail RBS Schools Rugby Cup on Wednesday (October 10).
Dartford beat Colfe's School 64-15 in the first round last month and are hoping some of Gemili's sprinting skills will rub off on them in time for their next clash.
The Team GB runner played a bit of rugby at the school and has apparently taken some coaching sessions with the U16 athletics team.
The 18-year-old Gemili smashed his personal best in the 200m last month, running 20.38sec at the Junior League National Final in Derby.
Another alumnus, London Irish and England wing Topsy Ojo, has previously been involved in rugby training at the school.
