Triumph cars zoom through Enfield as they set off on two-day UK tour

More than a hundred classic cars zoomed through Enfield yesterday as they set off on their two-day tour of Britain.

Classic car enthusiasts, from Club Triumph, gathered at The Plough pub in Cattlegate Lane in Crews Hill for their departure at 6pm.

The 2,000 mile journey will see the Triumph cars travel through places including Nottingham, Edinburgh, John O’Groats, Ross and Cromarty, Stirling, Shropshire, Bristol, Devon and Wiltshire.

A total of 20 short rest stops are scheduled, but the epic drive will continue through the night.

Drivers are expected to return to The Plough on Sunday at 6pm.

The charity event is run every two years – with donations from the last event reaching £56,000.
