Elmbridge Council's planning department in top three

Elmbridge has is in the top three performing local authorities for determining planning applications.
The Government recently published the league table. where Elmbridge came in the top three out of 315 local authorities to have determined 100 per cent of all applications.
This places the local authority in the top 1 per cent of all authorities, while it is also one of the busiest in the country, handling the highest number of applications in Surrey.
Councillor Simon Dodsworth, portfolio holder for regulatory affairs, said: “The report shows the importance that members and officers at Elmbridge place on making both timely and high quality decisions on planning applications, and furthermore it demonstrates that the planning services available to residents of Elmbridge are some of the best in the country.
“This report reflects the very real commitment that we strive to deliver across all our services under the direction of our management teams, even with the budgetary constraints we are faced with.”
The planning guarantee monitoring report shows how many planning applications Elmbridge Council determined with 26 weeks.
