Groovemanoova at the Grey Horse, Kingston
If you like Saturday nights to be funky then it might be worth heading to the Grey Horse this Saturday to hear the soulful sounds of Groovemanoova.
The Surrey eight-piece favour the 1970s soul sounds of artists such as James Brown, Chaka Khan and Grace Jones, tunes sure to get even the most modest mover on to the dance floor.
The band, featuring Mark Williams and Shelley Stevens on vocals, and a host of other experienced musicians, have featured at pubs, and events around west London.
Watch out for fantastic renditions of the Stevie Wonder classic I Wish, Brick House by the Commodores and the funktastic It’s Your Thing by the Isley Brothers.
Groovemanoova, the Grey Horse, 46 Richmond Road Kingston, October 6, 8.30pm, £7. Call 020 8541 4328, visit grey-horse.co. uk.
