A charity supporting St Helier Hospital has provided three digital bladder scanners for the elderly and stroke wards.

The League of Friends charity donated £22,500 for the scanners.

The equipment will enable doctors to spot problems in patients, such as urinary tract infections, earlier than before.

How much money donated to the hospital through the League of Friends efforts will be wasted when BSBV plans wreck much of the existing building and services?
