SINGLE mum Jade Ellis has made it through to the X Factor live shows following a dramatic episode on Sunday.

The 25-year-old, from Charlton, could not hold back the tears after finding out she would join the rest of Tulisa Contostavlos's girls in this year's live programmes.

Earlier, Jade had performed a stunning rendition in St Lucia of Stand By Me by Ben E King to secure her place in front of special guest Tinie Tempah, who hails from nearby Plumstead.

She told the programme that her dream was to secure a better life for herself and six-year-old daughter Cayden.

Jade said: "This opportunity is the only thing that could really change our lives."

And after wiping away tears at Tulisa's decision, she declared herself "100 per cent ready" for the next round.

Well, I'm not a fan of these talent shows - but I can't sing or play of anything. All I can say is if it's such non-news, you try standing up and singing well if front of critical people and a TV audience....!

Really pleased she's at the live shows. She's got a really good voice and its good to have someone local to cheer on.
