West Molesey couple renew vowes at same church 50 years to the day

Happy couple: Michael and Eileen Tree celebrated their special day with friends and family
A couple from West Molesey renewed their wedding vows on their 50th anniversary at the same church in which they wed.
Michael and Eileen Tree, of Chalford Close, married at St Andrew’s Church, Oxshott, on September 22, 1962 and they renewed their vows on the same date at the same church.
The renewing of their vows was organised by the couple’s three children and was only disclosed to them week before the event.
Mr Tree, 71, was very quietly surprised while Mrs Tree, 69, cried tears of joy and was overwhelmed all afternoon.
The couple also had a wedding breakfast in the original venue at the Old Plough, Stoke D’Abernon.
