Charles Court Opera presents Pirates of Penzance
Fans of Gilbert and Sullivan have a treat in store when Charles Court Opera presents Pirates of Penzance.
The talented company, accompanied by the Young-Eaton piano duo, returns to Thames Ditton with the usual crew, who will be firing on all cannons and leaving no buckle un-swashed.
With its cast of the Pirate King, his bloodthirsty pirates, orphan Frederick, the unhappy policeman’s lot, beautiful maidens and the model major-general, this will be an evening of pure joy.
Charles Court Opera is one of the UK’s most diverse young opera companies, bringing together talented singers from the major opera houses and famous soloists such as Simon Masterton-Smith as the world weary police sergeant.
