Three daylight burglaries hit Hersham in one day
Three daylight burglaries were committed in Hersham in one day this week.
Surrey Police are urging people to be vigilant with their home security following the incidents on Tuesday.
An instrument was used to force entry via a window at an address in Robinsway between 11.30am and 1pm, with jewellery and cash taken.
The same method of entry was used in burglaries at two addresses in Burhill Road, which happened in the same period. Some foreign currency was taken in one incident and cash and jewellery were taken in the other.
Elmbridge neighbourhood Inspector David Hollingsworth said: “I want residents to be aware of this recent spate of incidents in the Hersham area and take as many precautions as possible to protect their properties from would-be offenders.
“The best way to reduce your chances of being burgled is to install good locks and deadlocks, security lighting and burglar alarms – and remember to use them.
“I would urge everyone in the community to be alert to any suspicious individuals or activity in their neighbourhood. Please call Surrey Police on 101 if you see or hear anything that makes you feel concerned.”
