Erith man Michael McCluskey wanted by police over £50,000 robbery
POLICE are seeking an Erith man in connection with a £50,000 robbery.
Michael McCluskey, 25, is one of three men police want to speak to about the cash in transit robbery which happened at a petrol station in Cuxton Road, Rochester, at around 11.50am on Wednesday, September 19.
It is estimated more than £50,000 was stolen, with witnesses reporting seeing a weapon which caused firearms officers to be deployed, though no shots were fired.
Detective Inspector Kevin Downard, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: "We believe this robbery was carried out by three men.
"One man we urgently need to speak to is Michael McCluskey, who we think may be in south London.
"I urge people to look at his photo and if they know him or his whereabouts not to approach him but to contact us immediately.
"I would also appeal directly to Michael McCluskey to take himself to his nearest police station as soon as possible so he can be spoken to by officers."
Anyone with information is asked to phone the recorded witness appeal line on 01474 330511 or Kent CrimeStoppers free and in confidence on 0800 555111.
