PROUD2 nightclub at The O2 in Greenwich has had its licence suspended for 28 days after a chaotic evening which included two stabbings and a bouncer being hit with a bucket.
The club on Greenwich Peninsula has been shut following the incidents in the early hours of September 2.
Police say trouble flared when up to 50 people attempted to force entry into the venue's House of Joy night and had to be held back by security staff, who were also attacked.
On the same evening one man was wounded on his left arm, another was stabbed in the back and elbow, while a security guard was hit with a bucket resulting in cuts to his face.
Following the trouble and a recommendation by police, a council committee met to discuss the issue last week, ruling that the disorder was a breach of the venue's licensing conditions.
A spokesman for the club said he was not allowed to comment on the suspension because it was a police matter.
However, a representative said on the venue's Facebook page: "Proud2 has not gone into administration but we are currently undergoing a review of license and are closed for next 28 days. We expect
to open to the public following this period."
Proud2 opened last March promising "grand scale circus-themed productions", taking over from superclub Matter which closed due to financial difficulties.
Its licence suspension has led to a string of high-profile events being relocated from the popular nightspot, owned by the same company as Camden's Proud Galleries.
The club is due to be discussed by a Greenwich Council sub-committee later this month.
Timothy Williams, aged 26, of Welton Road, Plumstead, has been charged with actual bodily harm and will appear at Bexley Magistrates' Court on October 16.
Anthony Thompson, aged 24, from Brixton, has been charged with a public order offence and will appear at the same court on October 3
