KENT County Council (KCC) has funded a new bus to take children from Horton Kirby to school.
Youngsters travelling to the Knole Academy, in Sevenoaks, previously had to take a bus to Wilmington or get dropped off in Farningham to catch the bus to school.
But after concerned parents contacted KCC County Councillor for Darent Valley, Roger Gough, he arranged for the new 409B bus to be laid on by firm Go-Coach.
The new bus will stop first at The Bridges pub in South Darenth, before heading to Farningham Road station.
It will then visit various stops along Dartford Road, which is within walking distance of Horton Kirby.
Cllr Gough said: “This should be a big improvement on the problems that faced young people and their families at the start of term.”
