Worcester Park darts players are raising money for the Royal British Legion
Darts is not usually a sport you associate with athletic endurance, but five men have decided to swap oche for the rocky climbs of Exmoor.
Members of the Surrey County darts team will take on the 30/30 Exmoor Challenge to raise money for the British Legion this week.
The team of five who are embarking on the challenge play their games at the Royal British Legion Club in Worcester Park, so who better to raise money for.
As part of the challenge, all five men will have to carry 30lb of kit across 30 miles of unforgiving terrain in Somerset this Saturday.
Gary Creamer, the Surrey darts team manager and captain, said they men have been working hard.
He said: "We are certainly not the leanest boys around but we have been training. We're excited, it's going to be tough but I'm sure we will manage."
The group originally decided to skydive to raise money but one of the men didn't fancy it.
Mr Creamer said: "One of them said there was absolutely no way he was jumping out a plane, but he said he would do anything else. So we had a few beers one night and decided the run was the best bet. It was the drink talking to start with, but now we have to go through with it."
The group are aiming to raise £5,000 for the British Legion, and already raised £2,100.
