Bexley Council highlights disabled sport opportunities across borough

A number of sports are available for disabled people across Bexley.
FOR those keen to emulate Team GB’s Paralympic success, a number of disability sport opportunities are available across Bexley.
Adapted target sport Boccia, is played weekly at Sidcup Leisure Centre while Falcon Spartak Gymnastics Club in Sidcup provides classes for people with learning difficulties.
For watersport enthusiasts Erith Yacht Club offers tailored courses for disabled people and has a fleet of specially adapted boats, providing greater stability for sailors.
Mount Mascal Stables, in Vicarage Road, Bexley, also caters for everyone older than four with special needs.
Bexley Council cabinet member for sport and leisure Councillor Don Massey said: “There are several clubs and organisations in Bexley that have supported inclusive sport for many years, helping people to keep active irrespective of their disability.”
