Rock school comes to Claygate
9:00am Sunday 9th September 2012 in News By Laura Proto
Budding musicians have the chance to unleash their inner rock star as the Realistic Rock Academy comes to Esher.
Many young musicians who have taken part in the academy’s courses have gone on to form bands and have had major success, including sharing a stage with the Kaiser Chiefs, performing live on BBC1 and playing at Glastonbury.
At the end of the courses, students will experience performing to a packed out crowd at the Realistic Rock Christmas showcase at the Epsom Playhouse.
Prospective students are invited to attend the open day on Saturday, September 15, at Claygate Village Hall from 2.30pm to meet the tutors and have a free trial lesson in guitar, bass or drums.
The Realistic Rock Academy will be held at Claygate Village Hall on Wednesdays from October 3, for 11 to 17 year olds, and Thursdays from October 4, for seven to 10 year olds. For more information, visit realisticrock.com.
