Fresh from the excitement of the Olympics, Elmbridge residents were treated to a volleyball tournament on their doorstep over the August bank holiday weekend.
Teams from across the country came together to play a series of six-a-side and four-a-side competitions at the annual Richmond Volleyball Festival, held at Imber Court Sports Club.
The event proved to be a great success and despite the weather, there was great attendance and some gripping matches.
Free taster sessions with a qualified coach meant participants of all ages could come and try volleyball in a fun environment whilst the competitive matches were under way.
The weekend also had a real festival feel to it as players camped in the adjacent fields and enjoyed evening entertainment each night.
To end the festivities, the mayor came along to see the final stages of the competition and presented the players with their well-deserved medals.
