Run 10km in 10 weeks with Twickenham trainer
A personal trainer is offering a free training plan enabling women in Twickenham to run 10km within 10 weeks.
Deb Townsend, 39, will email a weekly running plan to clients and, after five weeks, participants will be invited to take part in group run at Kneller Gardens every Wednesday evening.
She hoped the programme would motivate women to run in the leads up to a 10km race at Old Deer Park on November 18.
She said: “They don’t have to sign up to the final run but it will be a good motivator for them. A lot of women enjoy exercising but they have fears about running.”
The plan involves three runs a week and there are two programmes – one for beginners and another for those already able to run 5km.
