Free SHOWTIME festival in Enfield Town today
9:17am Friday 31st August 2012 in News By Hermione Wright
Four million volts of electricity will be pumped through Enfield Town today during a free arts show.
Performers The Lords of Lightning will use lightning-style displays as part of their act during the SHOWTIME festival.
Thirty acts will perform in Enfield Town Park, Library Green and Enfield Town High Street between 4pm and 9pm.
The festival is part of the London 2012 Festival to celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic games.
Councillor Bambos Charalambous, Enfield Council’s cabinet member for culture, leisure, youth and localism, said: “Enfield Council is excited to host such an amazing event in our beautiful Town Park, at Library Green, and along the high street in Enfield Town.
“We welcome families to come down to this free event to start the Autumn Show weekend off with a bang.”
