BRITISH Transport Police are appealing for help following an assault on a man near Beckenham Junction station which left him with a broken cheekbone.

Detectives have released images of three men who they believe have key information about the attack, which took place in the early hours of July 22.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Rachel Smith said the victim, a 23-year-old man from Croydon, was at the Bridge nightclub in Beckenham High Street with two friends when they became involved in a dispute with a group of three men.

The victim left the club in an effort to separate himself from the argument and made his way towards the station car park.

However, the three men followed him and began punching him to the ground, kicking him in the face and body.

The victim’s friend, a 24-year-old man, was also attacked by the men as he tried to defend him.

As a result of the attack, the victim has been left with a fractured cheekbone which required surgery.

Police hope that releasing these images will encourage people who recognise the men, or who were in the area on that night, to get in touch and assist them with their investigation.

Anyone with information should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 quoting B4/LSA of 30/08/12 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
