Beckenham man sentenced to eight years for drug crimes

A 44-YEAR-OLD man from Beckenham has been sentenced to eight years in jail after being found guilty of drug offences.

Eugene Donegan, of Upper Elmers End Road, was jailed on Monday August 20 following a two-week trial at Croydon Crown Court.

He was sentenced to eight years in prison for conspiring to supply crack cocaine and five years for possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply, to be served concurrently.

Co-defendant Michael Gilead, aged 48, from Thornton Heath, was sentenced to nine years in prison.

Gilead was found guilty of conspiring to supply crack cocaine, possessing cannabis with intent to supply and handling stolen goods.

Donegan’s brother Anthony Anderson, aged 34, also of Upper Elmers End Road, Beckenham, was acquitted of the sole charge he faced: conspiring to supply crack cocaine.
