A community meeting will be held to discuss a new Walton Bridge construction.

A small exhibition of the scheme will be open to view from 6.30pm on Wednesday, September 19, at the Playhouse, Bridge Street, Walton-on-Thames.

This will be followed at 7pm by a presentation on the works achieved so far, and those planned over the coming months. There will then be an opportunity to ask questions or raise any concerns with the project team from both Surrey County Council and Costain.

Overall the bridge construction and handover remains on target for June, 2013, with construction well under way and the bridge arches being completed in a factory at Chepstow.

Currently the focus is on preparing the foundations prior to the arches being delivered to site at the end of August, 2012.

The meeting is open to anyone who is interested in the construction of the new Walton Bridge.
