A NATIONAL Insurance holiday should be given to employers in order to boost job creation.

This is the view of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) which has welcomed the injection of £50bn by the Bank of England into the economy.

But it says more needs to be done.

The FSB’s London regional chairman Steve Warwick said: “We hope the recently announced funding for lending proposals will finally mean that more of this money starts to filter through into the real economy so that the small firms wanting to grow can get hold of it. “As always, the key is implementation and until then the jury’s out. “However, better access to finance should only be the start.

“Why not offer a National Insurance Holiday scheme for employers including businesses in London with up to three members of staff?”
