TWO years after Nathan Allen was shot dead at a hotspot for unsolved murders, police are appealing again for information.

A reward of up to £20,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for Mr Allen's murder.

The 21-year-old, also known as Mace, was found dead at 9.09pm on May 3 2010 in Ludwick Mews, New Cross.

A post mortem examination gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest.

His murder came less than a year after Nathan Williams, 24, was shot dead while sitting in his car on the same road. The Woodpecker estate has seen three other unsolved slayings in the past seven years alone.

Police today asked for people to break their silence over Mr Allen's killing.

Acting Detective Chief Inspector Brian Lucas said: "Enquiries are continuing to bring those responsible for Nathan's murder to justice but we need anyone with information about his murder to come forward and speak to us.

"I would like to take this opportunity to reassure anyone who may be frightened of coming forward that Trident has extensive experience and knowledge of protecting witnesses and a range of measures can be used to protect you if necessary."

Anyone with information should call the incident room on 020 8247 4554 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
