SHOPKEEPERS put their thinking caps on to raise money for their town’s Christmas lights.
Every year the Chislehurst traders need to find £10,000 to maintain, improve and replace the bulbs in their display and this year they started the fundraising early.
One hundred people represented 13 businesses at a quiz night in the Bull’s Head, Royal Parade, Chislehurst, with raffle prizes for the winners.
Ward councillor Ian Payne undertook quiz master duties for the evening which was jointly won by Wrattens gift shop and 2gether charity shop.
It netted £1,000 to go towards this year’s lights.
