A WILDLIFE park owner has been handed a suspended jail sentence for possessing a prohibited firearm.
At Maidstone Crown Court on April 12, Alan Ames, who runs Eagle Heights in Lullingstone Lane, Eynsford, was given a jail sentence of 44 weeks suspended for 18 months.
The 56-year-old had admitted possessing the prohibited firearm at the same hearing.
Ames, of West Kingsdown, was also ordered to pay £250 prosecution costs and as part of his sentence, must live at his home address for one month.
