IS THIS the work of graffiti artist Banksy in Belvedere?

A picture resembling the format of the anonymous urban graffitist has been spotted daubed on a concrete wall in the car park of B&Q in Station Road.

The artwork shows three coloured flowers and a pair of dark eyes looking down from the wall.

Belvedere homeowner Joe Cowley, 65, of Erith Road, who noticed the artwork on Wednesday (March 21) said: “I’ve seen Banksy’s work and this certainly has all the markings.

“It’s the sort of thing that makes you question what it’s significant of but the flowers brighten up the tarmac if nothing else.”

This is not the first time work in the style of Banksy has appeared in the News Shopper area - in August 2010, an image of a watch was painted on an electricity box in Orpington.

Do you think this is Banksy’s work? Or are you the real artist? Call the newsroom on 01689 885 726 or email awoods@london.newsquest.co.uk.
