The brother of top gear presenter Richard Hammond visited pupils and staff earlier this month in support of World Book Day.
As an author and teacher, Andrew Hammond has published over 40 educational titles and taught for many years as a deputy head and as head of English and drama.
He visited Kingswood House School in Epsom on March 1 to read to pupils with younger years coming to school dressed as their favourite book characters.
Peter Brooks, headmaster of Kingswood House School, said: "It was such a fun day for our little ones to come to school dressed as the Gruffalo or as the Hungry Caterpillar and Andrew Hammond had a great time chatting to pupils and encouraging reading throughout our childhood years."
