Epsom pupils take part in pancake tossing relay race

Pupils celebrated Shrove Tuesday this week with a pancake relay race.
Year one children at Epsom Lodge in Norman Avenue demonstrated their pancake tossing skills in front of parents having practised for the big race on Tuesday, February 21.
Head teacher, Jacqueline Birchall, said: "I’m amazed at how many of the children could toss the pancakes and run at the same time. Many of them also had the chance to make pancakes and enjoyed discussing how they made them and which their favourite fillings were."
After the race the children tucked into freshly made pancakes with a choice of toppings.
