A hospital radio station is appealing for more volunteers to collect song requests from patients at Chase Farm.

Radio Enfield, which started in 1970 and broadcasts all day and night to patients in the hospital in The Ridgeway, needs help to provide its two-hour song request programme each evening.

Station manager Andy Higgins said: “Anyone who has a couple of hours to spare each week would find this a very rewarding and enjoyable pastime, meeting a wide variety of different people and providing a unique service to the patients in Chase Farm.

“Request collectors really are key volunteers and their work is greatly appreciated by patients and staff at the hospital and presenters who enjoy playing music they know will be appreciated.”
