GRAVESEND Lions Club has handed over a £10,000 cheque to EllenorLions Hospices.
The cash was raised throughout last year through monthly car boot fairs, bucket collections and their Christmas barrel organ appeal.
The money will go to the Hospices' Means to an End Appeal, which asks the community to help raise £1m over the next year to invest in care at home.
Head of quality and care at EllenorLions Hospices, Tricia Wilcocks, said: “It just goes to show how putting a little bit of money in to a bucket collection in the town centre will quickly add up to raise this fantastic amount of money.
“We would like to thank everyone involved at Gravesend Lions Club for all their hard work and dedication.”
