TWO crews remain at the scene of a fire in Orpington which started on Saturday.

The firefighters are damping down the large pile of rubbish which caught fire at a skip yard at the end of Cornwall Drive at around 6.40pm that evening.

Until early yesterday morning there were six crews of around 35 firefighters at the scene working in four hour shifts to fight the blaze.

This dropped to four crews when the fire was downgraded with now just two remaining.

Nearby Sevenoaks Way was cordoned off from the start of the fire until yesterday afternoon.
