A bird that looks like David Bowie is among a new exhibition at the WWT London Wetland Centre in Barnes.

Iconic photographer Justin de Villeneuve has created Portraits: fashion to feathers, in which he pairs images of models and rock stars with exotic birds - highlighting some striking similarities.

He first made his name photographing models and rock stars in the 60s and 70s and is recognised as having discovered and managed the world’s first supermodel, Twiggy, as well as capturing numerous other famous faces including David Bowie, Raquel Welch and Pattie Boyd.

For nearly a decade now Justin has been photographing birds at the centre and he wanted to focus his current exhibition on the portrait as a means of expression - not just within the fashion fraternity, but within the ornithological world as well.

The exhibition will run until Friday, April 20, 2012.
