A MAN who was stabbed in an 8am robbery is in a stable condition, police say.
The 23-year-old was attacked on Thursday (October 13) as he walked along Cedars Avenue, off Hoe Street in Walthamstow.
He is critically ill but further details have not been released.
The Met has launched an appeal for witnesses, urging anyone with information to call Waltham Forest CID 020 3276 0951 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
No arrests have been made.
A spokeswoman said extra police resources were being assigned to the borough following the incident.
