The LazyTown series which has wowed children the world over is now available on DVD from BBC Worldwide on 11 September 2006. With its comedic and energetic storylines, kids are sure to love the 'get up and go' attitude of the show.
Originated, produced and written by Icelandic entrepreneur, world-class athlete and public speaker Magnus Scheving, LazyTown uses music, movement and humour to help kids make healthier choices in their everyday lives.
In the Welcome to LazyTown DVD Stephanie, an optimistic 8-year-old with bright pink hair, comes to live in LazyTown with her uncle, the town's mayor and meets a zany mix of people including the world's laziest super-villain, Robbie Rotten. Fortunately for Stephanie, LazyTown is under the watchful eye of Sportacus, an athletic superhero who helps the inhabitants of LazyTown battle Robbie's latest lazy schemes.
Aimed at four to seven year-olds and produced entirely in Iceland, LazyTown may have the laziest name but it's jam-packed with action, energy and a powerful message that tells kids that they can "do it". LazyTown leaves kids with the power to play, move, dance, sing and feel really good about it all.
This DVD is the first one to be produced for the series and contains some wonderful extra features such as a Sing-a-long and a game.
