LONDON Underground drivers are to strike four times over the next month following a row over the sacking of a colleague.

The walk-outs will be between six and 15 hours long and be held up to Friday July 1.

The first strike is planned for Sunday June 19 at 9pm, lasting until 3am the next day.

Union the RMT and its members are furious at a decision by Transport for London (TfL) to sack union activist Arwyn Thomas based on what they say are unproven allegations made by previous strike breakers.

TfL say an industrial tribunal is being held over the case and has criticised the union for striking before its conclusion.
