Three more suspects were remanded in court today over the alleged plot to blow up jetliners in mid-flight.

Nabeel Hussain, Mohammed Yasar Gulzar and Mohammed Shamin Uddin face charges of conspiracy to murder and preparing acts of terrorism.

In total, four of the 24 people initially arrested have been freed with no further action.

Fifteen have now been charged. Of these, eight bomb suspects have already been remanded while another four face lesser charges.

Five suspects remain in custody at high security Paddington Green station in London - three weeks after their arrests. In the next 24 hours, police have to charge the five, release them or get court permission to question them for another week.

Prosecutors allege Hussain, Gulzar and Uddin have plotted between January 1 and August 10 to murder others.

The trio is also accused of planning to "smuggle the component parts of improvised explosive devices onto aircraft and assemble and detonate them on board".

They appeared at City of Westminster magistrates' court today.

Hussain's brothers, Mehran and Umair, are accused of failing to disclose information about his alleged plans.

The two siblings are among the four people facing lesser charges, along with a teenage boy and a mother of an eight-month-old baby.

The mother, Cossar Ali, 23, and the 17-year-old youth were remanded in custody at their second court appearances yesterday.
